There are no perp walks, trials, jail sentences or executions for high crimes.
Are we perhaps moving in a more positive direction? I would argue yes. My definition of a win involves the actions mentioned above.

Pretty much.

There are a lot of positive things happening in the country and those should be celebrated

There is no reason to embellish on the truth

And the thing is...most of the good things don't really have anything to do with politics one way or the other. People just like to convince themselves that politicians are really moving the needle in some significant way. They usually aren't.

I’m far more optimistic than this. I think there is a much better than 50% chance that AI productivity gains will allow us to outgrow the debt and deficits. We just need to hold the line a little on spending increases and the tax revenue will balance the budget.

Gaslighting is when you tell someone to not believe what they're seeing. Trump isn't doing that genius

I think the economy/growth/wealth matters. I don't pretend they're independent of culture.

But I also don't think solutions to economic woes or threats necessarily improve cultural rot, either.

Ignores the illegal immigration crisis that Trump is absolutely obliterating into the atmosphere

So ICE decided on their own to go all over the country and apprehend illegals. When did this happen?

Might actually make it worse by making us more affluent and more degraded.
