There are no perp walks, trials, jail sentences or executions for high crimes.
Are we perhaps moving in a more positive direction? I would argue yes. My definition of a win involves the actions mentioned above.

There are a lot of positive things happening in the country and those should be celebrated
There is no reason to embellish on the truth
And the thing is...most of the good things don't really have anything to do with politics one way or the other. People just like to convince themselves that politicians are really moving the needle in some significant way. They usually aren't.

I’m far more optimistic than this. I think there is a much better than 50% chance that AI productivity gains will allow us to outgrow the debt and deficits. We just need to hold the line a little on spending increases and the tax revenue will balance the budget.

I think the economy/growth/wealth matters. I don't pretend they're independent of culture.
But I also don't think solutions to economic woes or threats necessarily improve cultural rot, either.
