A Peaceful Breakup

With the issues going on and the US seemingly more divided everyday, there is a solution this divided country. Break up the Union into 6 European Style Republics. We would of course have trade agreements among ourselves and a common defense policy against foreign agitators like China but I believe this would be much more unifying then our current system.

We have this, they're called states. This was the original intent.

What is exactly wrong with being allies with Russia? I find them more appealing than the European Nations that are "allies" with.

Yeah, considering that people here despise blue areas (and vice versa), this would never work. If anything, the coasts would probably work with China to take over the rest of the U.S. landmass.

Because the two main Liberal strongholds in this country is the West Coast and the New England area. You think they would operate well together? If NY was in charge the West Coast would be pissed and if Southern California was in charge NY would be pissed.
Chicago would be a weird one to do as well. Maybe the conservatives could improve it if they took control.
Country 1 I would say it would be Eastern half of PA, majority of Maryland, Northern Virginia all the way up to Maine.
Country 2 Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, and California. (Maybe all or part of Arizona and Nevada depending on what they choose)
Country 3 the rest.

Right. And then what do we do when California invites all of central America and Mexico in? How about when one or both of the coasts just sells out to the Chinese? How about when one of them goes straight up red communist? You want to have a trade agreement and a common defense policy with that?
No. If the anti-American socialist democrats want one inch of the United States, let them pay for it in blood.
