It would be Texas, Oklahoma, Arky, Louisiana, Miss, Bama, GA, FLA, SC, NC, TN, KY, and WV in one collective.
Just think, we could re-start the old Mid-South wrasslin' federation too.

Most states would be ruby red...err orange, if not for the large big cities.
There are about 7-8 maybe 9 large US cities that determine Presidential elections every cycle.
Take Illinois for example, lots of good America loving conservatives there but they are constantly out-voted by the ill-liberals in Chicago & Cook County.
Same with Penn, lots of good ole Baws & bawettes with the exception of Philly & Pittsburg.
Michigan & Detroit
New York and NYC and Buffalo.
California with San Fran, L.A., San Diego, Oakland.
That's why our wise Founding Fathers put much of the concept of Federalism into the US Constitution.
As predicted by our Founding Fathers, its been chipped away little by little, especially over the last 100 years beginning with Woodrow Wilson.
What did Ben Franklin infamously say? 'A republic...if you can keep it.'

thats the trouble with the thread. enormous numbers of people have very different opinions and even goals for society than you do. lexington and louisville. vis a vis appalachia. look how NW Ark is regarded on TD.
I think more people are caught up with the authors envisioned territories (noise) vs the notion of smaller nation states (signal). I’m on the page of 4-5 nation states that can create more homogenous ideals and policies that would benefit the overall populace of those specific regions. Abortion, Guns, and Illegals are three hot button issues. Certain territories would be pro and anti those and you could create a path for these regions to implement their ideals. For those who disagree, you simply choose to find residence in a different territory.
The big issue is how to handle debt/currency/current obligations. That debt would probably have to be divided among the newly formed regions and addressed moving forward. Having 4-5 smaller currencies for these regions would also be my choice.

Damn sure don’t want Texas in our alliance. They have let thousands and thousands of illegal aliens in their state. Mississippi can’t relate to all that.

Wonder who the author wants to be the new dictator-conquerer of America? If America is broken up, the result would certainly be the conquering and destruction of the former America.

Fantasy is believing men can have periods. Based on current trajectory of both countries geopolitical aspirations & the methods being used to achieve those aspirations do you believe China won’t become the worlds next superpower?

They won’t. They’re a house of cards that’s already started to crumble
Their demographics are horrible
They’re a net food and energy importer
They already started losing lots of their manufacturing
They are still decades behind the US militarily
