Its all the kids fault not the drug runners
Let's ban guns because there are mass shootings. It would surely stop, or at least, help prevent a few of them. If it saves just one life it's worth it.

Falling for this ridiculous war on terra/war on drugs joint remix is sad, and quite frankly, MAGA should know better.
Not a cult.

are you for full legalization of drugs? What is your prescribed solution?
The solution is working on overall wellness of (mostly poor) people that would take 2-3 generations so it's not really palatable.
What gives me some hope is that you see MAGA's reaction to white people in the Rust Belt feeling the impacts and developing the pathologies, counter to their dismissal of similar issues with urban-black people, so I hope it's possible ultimately for them to see the bigger picture.
The problem is the leftists want policies that largely create the economic maladies facing these populations that lead to pathologies like addiction.
Your more conservative types prefer the bam pow stuff and have no patience for the long-term strategy, especially as it would erode lots of government policing power and would be spun the dishonest ways you see ITT ("supporting the bad guys" or "promoting drug usage").
The largest factor in fixing this problem is moving the unemployable into jobs. That starts the process of fixing things more than any other (even things like education).

Then we're stuck with fentanyl or whatever terrible thing replaces it
Yeah probably, we are never going to legalize opioids because they make people useless, untrustworthy and are extremely addictive

Let's assume for a moment your statement is true (which it ain't). We've had forums, councils, debates, lessons, conventions, yada yada yada...for 50 YEARS the WOD has been a thing. Where has that gotten us?
You're pissed because Trump shot the drug traffickers and actually stopped the drugs. "But it's an insignificant amount!". Yeah, let it in anyway. That's the solution.

No. It is related to midterms and the 2028 election. You people are cheerleading our own destruction.
Unforced error after unforced error.

Has he "stopped the drugs", though?

And what about legalization of marijuana and drugs?

I would bet alcohol kills way more people and ruins way more lives than fent.

Where are the drugs that were in the boats now, Counselor?

IN THEORY, if we thwart the variables causing addiction, there is no reason for them to be illegal, like alcohol (which is the most impactful drug-addiction combo in the US today).

I personally think bombing a few boats is disrespectful to the intelligence of the cartels. A few shipments getting intercepted does not affect their bottom line, hell it gives them justification to raise their prices in America. The harder it is to get on the higher the incentive becomes to do so. They’ve been at this for a long time now and will figure out means to do their job.
It’s just pissing in the wind.

So you're trying to give Trump points for something even bumfrick LEOs have done for 50 years? Every arrest "stops the drugs" if they recover some
That's an even worse argument

Right.
But we're talking about cocaine. These baws think Trumps keeping them safe from Fentanyl, and nothing is being done about it.

And there it is. Your chosen profession has given you a dripping disdain for those trying to keep others safe.
BTW, those "bumfrick LEO's", in this case, are US military. Thanks for showing the board that you shite on them.

Blowing up these coke boats to fight overdoses is like killing cattle and chickens to fight obesity
