The source of their intelligence was the Snapchat. Noem wasn't going on national TV based on just "word on the street." So, yes, they knew the source of the bounty at the same time they knew the amounts.
I guess the reason for her to announce that before the arrest was to give people time to speculate that the source of the money was Soros or some other demonic Leftist. The reporting on this is weirdly understated.
My guess is that the "bounty" and/or the "high-ranking gang member" wasn't serious...and we won't hear much more on this...except for some of the dimmer of you to say "Soros/Obama/Pelosi/etc. has a bounty on ICE"...as opposed to the truth: there was one specific Snapchat from one local Chicago thug covering one specific individual.

If the federalized National Guard was going to war with and arresting actual drug gangs, the deployment might be justified. That isn't what Trump is doing, however.

How am I disingenuous? I am always very clear. Some of you think that it's impossible to support Trump AND have questions about what has been done by his Administration.
Here, it seemed weird to me to have a specific amount, but not know who was offering the bounty. Turns out they DID know who was offering the specific bounty.
It's going to be a bad look when there was all this rabble about "bounties" being offered "against ICE," when it was really one specific bounty offered by some minor figure against someone who is not a member of ICE.
The actual violence against ICE officers is horrible and should not be tolerated. Anybody who touches a federal officer performing his duties should be immediately arrested and prosecuted.
Making stuff up about multiple bounties against ICE is going to sound like crying wolf too often...and detract from the actual violence committed by Leftists.
Of course, if any evidence is produced of bounties against ICE members, I will admit that I was wrong.

Thanks. I just never saw a satisfactory answer to my point: "the generalized bounties against ICE are probably bullshite based on one specific bounty offered against someone who was not a member of ICE."
