Since Pope Benedict was FORCED OUT Francis wasn’t considered the real vicar of Christ his predecessor was.You can’t have 2living Popes.So having said that the prophecy of the popes will be with the election of the next pope. If the next pope takes the name Peter or his real name is Peter and is from Rome the prophecy will be accurate.

I wouldn't get too enthralled or taken in by a man's prophesies about names TAKEN LATER IN LIFE, any prophesy can come true like that with Church orchestration, what if they ask what name you will take, and pick the one that fits the prophesy, it could be like an old fashioned magic trick via slight of hand. I stick with the bible, but I do it via the modern world.
I wrote a blog 10 or so years ago explaining how Gen. 1 fits perfectly with a 13.7 billion year old universe, I showed how the Wilkenson probe that used radar to give us a picture of the universe through all time back in the early 2000s, and after the Big Bang where God speaks Creation into existence, the bible says there was Darkness on the Face of the Deep. Well, guess what science tells us, after the BB, there was inflation or an afterglow that lasted 390,000 years, then 40 million years of nothing but darkness...........then Genesis says this, God moved on the Face of the Waters (KEY) and then "God says Let there be Light" so what does the face of the waters even mean?
Well, via my studies it hit me, light goes in a straight beam and illuminates very little (see just outside our atmosphere, it gets much darker) but God created our atmosphere like a bio-dome to TRAP MOISTURE, and that moisture refracts or reflects the light and thus illuminates the earth where we can stay warm, and grow crops etc. The bible is perfect, never wrong on anything, its us who misinterpret, misunderstand a bad translation etc. etc. etc.
Likewise, I do real prophesy via Revelation and Daniel, those types like Nostradamus are just not real. I have no clue about the Last Pope Prophesy, never got into it to must tbh.

That's the thing about prophecies, to make them work, you have to abandon logic at certain points to make things fit together. It's all conjecture.
I'm not saying that it isn't neat how it's tied together, but it isn't really tied together if you have to manipulate things to make it fit, now is it?

It is odd this is out in the news as a prophecy archived in the Vatican. Yet Saint Malachy is not highlighted as the author.
It is convoluted as some say Francis was the last Pope only because his father's name was Peter. Some say the Pope that resigned for Francis messed up the order of the list?
Some Popes are missing but posted to give a general idea...
