That works out to roughly eight donations per day, every single day, for five straight years. Christmas. Easter. The day of her husband's memorial. The day her house burned to the ground. Eight a day, averaging about nine dollars and change apiece, from a woman who needed two tries to unlock her own phone on camera and who told a reporter, when he handed her nine hundred pages of her own supposed giving history, "Hell no. I don't have that kind of money."

It’s obvious this woman didn’t actually donate $150K to the Dems. But someone did. Wonder who?
And there is zero chance this is a one-off situation. I’m certain there are countless other “mega-donors” like her out there.

Looked her up on the FEC website and confirmed a very large history of very small donations.
Not sure if the website has a way to search for individuals who made thousands of small donations. If it's possible to download the full database for each year some enterprising autist would be able to whip up some code quickly and identify all potential smurfing victims.

The tiny amounts keep it under the FEC radar.
Do this with a large number of people and it becomes worth doing. The specific frequency indicates automation. A live person would take a day off or would accidentally donate 4 or 6 times on a certain day instead of 5.

Prepaid Visa cards. She never had the money, they just used her name. The small amount not only keeps it off the FEC radar but also makes it not worthwhile for the campaign to send an acknowledgement in the mail. So they can play dumb (or in the rare case they're honest, refund and report).

It was probably made with her credentials, and like mail voting, is by-design not traceable.
