improper usage of PPE is an issue. In my area, I have seen nearly all blacks wearing masks and gloves and only 20 or 30% of other races. A lot of people I see wearing masks are touching the masks to adjust them. Whether they have gloves on or not, that is WRONG. Once you enter a potentially contaminated area, DO NOT touch your mask unless you have just washed your hands, or correctly removed your gloves. smh
The glove thing is another issue. I see people with gloves handling store items, then not buying the item... thus, spreading whatever germs they have on the gloves. Don't pick up an item unless you are going to buy it.
The false security of the PPE is likely causing people to contaminate themselves and others.
I have seen lots of gloves dropped in parking lots.
Not only is this nasty and shows that the person who did it is unclean anyway, a lot of them are not turned inside out. How can you do that and not contaminate your hands with whatever is on your gloves??? It isn't easy. Bottom line, a lot of people using PPE are not properly trained. Maybe, there should be some public service ads showing how to use this equipment and instructing people with poor home training, how to wash their hands and be courteous to others.

I would like to see data on whites and blacks living in the suburbs vs. whites and blacks living in cities.
Seems like blacks in suburbs are ok, and whites living in cities like New York and New Jersey are having problems.
It may not have anything to do with race but rather how much space do you have from your neighbors.
