Where in the hell are you getting this idea that I “eagerly” buy anything? All I did is state a well established Wikipedia level fact without comment. I’m fully on board with the Sphinx in Egypt being many more thousands of years older than it is officially presented. But I’m not gonna sit here and declare the same thing for Machu Picchu when I don’t have nearly the amount of time invested looking into that as I do other matters.
The construction is every bit as jaw dropping if it was made 1400 A.D. or 1400 BC. Or 3400 BC. The actual point here is that so-called unsophisticated tribes were constructing masterful pieces of architecture and engineering that don’t fit the narrative.
I tend to lean towards Randall Carlson and Graham Hancock - to varying degrees - on these matters. Not sure why you’re being such an a-hole though.

Some have been saying that all along.

Fair.

This is a subject I'm invested in and it gets old seeing the exact same "debunk" points trotted out every time. They are always wrong.
Anyways, apologies.
So what they've found at Machu Picchu during a 2023 survey of the site is that the "Inca" actually cut into the bedrock up to 10 feet beneath the entire plaza before building anything. They then laid massive blocks and drainage channels into the entire site. They did this to stabilize the entire mountainside before building anything. Essentially they changed the entire hydrology of the mountain to support the complex.
This area receives 80 inches of rain per year and the slope is very steep. So this level of hydrological engineering was necessary in order to build anything there otherwise it will have washed away long ago.
Likewise the terraces that are all over the slopes were also extremely well engineered.
Whoever the first people were that built there had very advanced engineering capabilities. They changed the look of the entire mountainside and also the way water is dispersed throughout. It is actually a colossal feat of engineering that was eventually attributed to a bunch of spear chucking folks who came along much later.
We know that they changed that entire mountainside. So a lot of people believe that they also built this face into the mountain.
Now, I don't know about that last one, but it's pretty incredible looking and if you're talking about people who are already capable of reshaping the entire mountainside and changing its entire hydrology, why not?

This is how we know that you’re retarded. You lash out at people because deep down you know that you’re retarded and feel ashamed when it’s pointed out.

So you deny that it was a colossal feat of engineering?

I'm very surprised it wasn't the first reply to the OP.

The Incas were the most advanced of the pre-Columbian civilizations. They were one of the only ones smelting bronze, and they were one of the few with a domesticated draft animal at their disposal (llamas). They were essentially on par technologically with the great powers of the bronze age like Babylon, Assyria, Egypt, and Mycenae.
With that said, the ruins they left behind show distinct layers of different architectural styles that indicate to me, at least, that they were constructed at different times. The bottom layer appears significantly more sophisticated, which indicates that as advanced as sophisticated as the Incan were, they were building atop a much older and more advanced civilization that had built monuments in the same spot.
This is not an unfamiliar pattern throughout history. We have locations around the Mediterranean where modern structures were built over Medieval ruins atop Roman ruins atop Bronze Age ruins, where the cross-sections look like a wedding cake. Baalbec in Lebanon is a great example. The most sophisticated stonework is actually on the bottom like we see in most Incan sites.

Right. I think there are actually three separate layers. The bottom layer is a layer built directly into the living bedrock. Then the megalithic layer. Then the crude Incan layer. The contrast is striking between the megalithic layer and the Incan layer as the uppermost layer is often built right on top of the megalithic layer and it looks like someone took a dump right on top of what is otherwise magnificent stonework.
Here is a pretty good example. At the bottom layer you see large blocks and very tight fits. Above it it looks much less sophisticated. Huge gaps between the stones, not nearly as well cut blocks, etc.

It’s cool.
The last few years have really been insane with all the discoveries and reinterpretations of evidence we’ve known for decades if not centuries and it really is a fire hose of information coming out.
It really is hard to keep up with the latest discoveries and/or theories about what truly is a global issue.
Take your pick of any of a dozen ancient sites and we could make a whole thread’s worth of discussion on each one. But as for the UFO stuff, I just don’t think we’re getting anything of substance anytime soon.

Well, all of that was to say that it appears there was a very advanced civilization here on Earth in the past. How advanced? Very fricking advanced. If the question is about exactly WHO the UFOnauts are, I would think that it is plausible they're holdovers from this precursor civilization from right here.
As I said in my initial response to you on this, they also appear to have built a LOT of shite underground. Not only that, but again, if they had a hand in our own development, they may walk among us unnoticed. To me, this explanation makes a lot more sense of everything we see than assuming they come from some other star system in space or that they're interdimensional travelers. They could just share this planet with us.
Take a look at the engineering of just the terraces at Machu Picchu. This doesn't get into the subsurface engineering beneath the entire plaza, but just what they had to do to build the terraces (which are numerous and all over the mountainside). It's pretty incredible.
