Can you not live with that???
Can you not admit the republican effort to oppose this unemployment was weak?
It passed through republican committees, was written in no small part by republicans and only at the last minute four of them decided to try to amendment it? Can you say that was minimal effort?

Four on the day the Majority Leader under pressure from the White House declared there would be a vote.
That bill was in the Senate from the 19th till the 25th and no republican stood to stop it.
Do you honestly believe the republicans were interested in stopping it? or even significantly changing it?
Why didn't they call Sander's bluff? why not kill the bill? the answer is republican pressure---pressure from Trump and that pressure on McConnell.

Sounds like your wife’s employer beat her to the punch and submitted notice to the agency she was separated for cause before she filed her claim. The other option is she filed wrong. Every system is auto accepting approvals for any claim that’s filled out properly. ...but I’m sure there are also a lot of savvy employers and payroll companies that are actively working to torpedo valid employee claims.

This was pretty common after Katrina, and LWC had audit issues around 2011 when the prescriptive periods began expiring for UI clawback of ineligible and fraudulent claims that were never pursued.
Another big Louisiana’ism was the offshore guys who worked 30 days straight then would return and file for UI for three weeks during their 30 days off. I think IT finally fixed that one, but it worked for a long time.
