Ah yes, that sums it up.

The government . . . . would have to buy the allowances on the market and charge it to the company.
So the company would have to pay the government a scandalous amount of extra money . . . . but not a tax
Not when the proceeds go to the seller to buy the allowance in the market. You really are a fricking idiot.

Last I checked we are still riding a living rock around a ball of fire in a vacuum of space with unfathomable temperature extremes. Some shits gonna fluctuate.
My point has always been the arrogance of man to think we control it, can control it, or know the temp to set the dial to.
For now, you can keep your hands off my thermostat and find some other trumped up cause to become a freedom fighter over.
So basically you believe its arrogant to consider the possibility we might be influencing climate, thus relieving you of the obligation to actually inform yourself.
Interesting.
Funny, lots of people look at the same data, see obvious manipulation and rewriting of history and disagree with your premise. I've seen quite enough to form my opinion, and every bit of new info I see seems to further cement my opinion. I have no more obligation to inform myself on this topic than I have an obligation to inform myself on big foot. The only difference is the Sasquatch nuts aren't trying to ruin the US economy while chasing their myth.

Of course. When you look at data with the belief it has been manipulated, you will see manipulation and conspiracy. Then you can post it on a blog, and other bloggers will repeat what you said - and its really gonna look like that data has been manipulated. For fricks sakes, did you know the scientists were exchanging emails between one another? Something's gotta be up with that!

That's because you get your "info" from people who wish to reassure you of your opinion.

Great then. Your input on the solution to AGW is rendered as irrelevant as your input would be if we were attacked by an army of big foots.

You aren't paying it to government. The money goes to other market participants.

If you boiled a gigaton of water it would not stay there long enough to alter the climate because it would precipitate out within a week.

I've studied the data myself and the pattern is obvious.
I'm going to make some predictions:
In the next 35 years, we will see the 4th hottest June in 35 years.
In the next 35 years California will experience a drought.
In the next 35 years we will see the hottest Summer in ten years.
In the next 35 years the govt. will want to raise our taxes to "fix" the climate 35 times.

No, I look at data and then am presented with clear cut evidence of the manipulation. Couple that with the demonization of anyone who questions it suggests that it isn't science at all, but a political agenda.

Incorrect, I've read much pro and con. You refuse to see the evidence that your cult leaders are manipulating you.

Funny, I feel the same about your opinion. The difference is I don't feel the need to force you to change your behavior because of my beliefs. You however feel the need to force change on everyone based on your beliefs.

This x 100000000000
Unfortunately, this is a problem on both sides of the fence.

Either way, scientists will look back at Warmist theory with embarrassment.

I believe you are right, but these people will never admit how arrogant they appear.

I have a question. Way back when, there was a land bridge in the Bearing Sea between Russia and Alaska. (to satisfy Spidey, I realize that neither Russia nor Alaska existed by name 15,000 years ago. So let's say the land masses that are now called Russia and Alaska to prevent him from calling me out for thinking that Russia and Alaska existed back then). It isn't there now, because, well, the earth warmed up causing the oceans to rise, covering the bridge. If Spidey and the super scientists and been around back then to institute cap and trade policies and other things like that, would we still have a land bridge from Russia to Alaska, or would the earth have said "screw y'all, I'm warming up anyways"?

True. And there are 2 levels that I call the 'pushers' and the 'buyers.'
The pushers know it's BS but they have an agenda. In fact several agendas:
a. Grants, income...gotta produce the desired result
b. De-developers..environmentalist who hate industrialization.
c. Marxists ...hate capitalism
The buyers (Tuba) actually believe AGW is true. Why?
a. They've been taught that since 3rd grade.
b. It's hot outside in the summer.
c. They feel the need to 'save' something.
The buyers accepts any statistic the pushers give them with no skepticism. They reject any statistic that disproves AGW as 'crazy deniers.'
