It did. At least the narrative did, on 1/6. That's when the election was official. Suddenly NY is screaming they have to open up. Chicago too. No more 24-7 covid talk. Now there is suddenly a new policy for covid diagnoses. What next? I bet covid deaths will suddenly drop.

The bottle neck is in the state not the plan to distribute.
The death toll is fictional as well.
Johns Hopkins a month before the election issues a report that states the normal death toll including all reasons for death in the US has not risen by 400,000. If the COVID numbers were true ....the total yearly death toll would be 400,000 above normal. That means there is no evidence that deaths are increasing ....simply being driven from one category to another. Immediately, within 48 hours, that report was taken down from the John's Hopkins website. The conclusion in the report was that people destined to die from heart disease and other medical conditions ....died from the virus. There was no increase in overall numbers.

I believe our actual excess deaths will come in somewhere around 230k. Or 260k-280k more deaths than in 2019.
That’s not great. It’s an almost raw 10% increase in mortality.
But it’s also not 400k.
And then divining how many of the 230k were due to Covid and how many were due to the lockdowns will be a completely separate question.
