Do you really think a better relationship with Mexico will stop the illegal immigration? What more can we give them? We already have US corporations and money flowing from the US propping up their economy. The President, with very little help, is trying to limit the amount of drugs flowing over the border which funds most of their government's corruption. Without direct intervention, their country will not change. Their former president was bought off by the cartels. The people with power show no desire to change.
Do you think kind words are going to stop the flow of illegals, the corruption, or the cartels?

We've been down this road so many times. Every single time I post all the actual quotes from all the actual department heads, and you guys just quietly slink off.
Trump's administration hasn't been responsible for a single inch of new wall. They've repaired or replaced existing fencing and anti vehicle bollards with new fencing and anti vehicles bollards. Last month he put his name on a fence approved by Obama. Which is just pathetic.
This wall thing isn't going to work if Trump can't build large sections of it where no wall existed before. It doesn't look like he particularly cared about his wall promise to this point. He basically put 0 effort into it through his first 2 years, then got absolutely dick slapped we he tried to demand wall funding in the last budget.
The first new fencing sections were due to up this month. I haven't heard anything about them beginning that project yet, but when he does, I'll gladly admit that he's build xxx feet of new wall.

Who cares? Nobody is arguing about Obama. The argument is over how much wall Trump has gotten approved and built via his administration, and the answer is 0 (zero). He's continued or completed the projects of previous presidents to this point, because nobody in our government wants a wall, and Donald wanted to focus on important shite like tax cuts, criminal justice reform, doing more catch and release, bombing Syrian airfields, and gifting Israelis the Golan Heights.
Oh, and bump stocks. Can't forget that.
