Heard a great analogy tonight about the 4 boxes assured in the Constitution.

Ballot Box - stolen election
Jury Box - justice system is broken
Soap Box - we no longer have free speech

Ammo Box - ??

I would like to think the 4th box won’t be taken from us peacefully but as long as we are comfortable they will have their way with us

By tradition, it would have been "cartridge box", but that would be quibbling.

(Ammo box doesn't sound right though.)

And I’m not sure analogy is the right word.

It's easy for them, they buy up all the boxes and they let us divide each other.

It's pretty much all a facade of a "shining city on a hill" at this point in time. I wouldn't say that the facade can't give way to an actual solid structure with a solid foundation in the future, but it's not a pretty situation at the current time. It needs a great deal of work.

We need the AL legislature to pass legislation that Alabama is a “ Sanctuary State” for the
1st and 2nd amendments.

Imagine if we did have a second civil war and you were writing a history.

You’d write about the ammunition shortage, and say people were stockpiling for the war.

That’s how the story would read in hindsight

A tad understated, I know.

But hey, if it was so clearly in the Constitution, we would not have needed the voting rights act of 1965.

There was an amendment before 1965 that should have taken care of any need for 1965. As I reflect now it seems States were in defiance of the Constitution from 1870.

It is intriguing why the writers and ratifiers would use the 'white' only in this article of rights. Did 'white' intend to be any thing other than African Slave? Hoping for more insight. Not all blacks were slaves. Why did they do this?
