Overall, for the 99% of applicants, the standards are much higher and more difficult than average obviously. But for the few exceptions they make, they're totally off the wall.

Can you tell us more about your job as an Ivy League admissions officer?

Reference statements regarding "W" and his grades earlier.

No other POTUS was a basic bastard, right?
No historian addresses subject of a leader without addressing the difficulty in overcoming such a disadvantage. e.g., William the Bastard (Conqueror).

So we have Obama, basically abandoned by his Mother, after long being abandoned by his father. He is then raised by his grandparents. Amazing!

Where are the detailed investigative accounts as to how he overcame and succeeded? He admittedly underperformed in college, yet ended up at Columbia? How'd that happen?

Nah, no story there, etc., etc., etc., right?

At the very least, there's some information there that he doesn't want the public knowing.

Dude, take off the tinfoil. Its an academic record. The only thing in there he would be hiding is poor grades. Which very well could be the case. But the way you make it seem, he has some secret written confession that he actually is a Kenyan-born muslim hidden deep within his "academic records."

It blows my mind how liberals refuse to even admit to the possibility that some of this stuff doesn't add up
Especially when Obama lied about his own girlfriend in his "autobiography".

LINK

quote:

One of the more mysterious characters from President Obama's 1995 autobiography Dreams From My Father is the so-called 'New York girlfriend.' Obama never referred to her by name, or even by psuedonym, but he describes her appearance, her voice, and her mannerisms in specific detail.

But Obama has now told biographer David Maraniss that the 'New York girlfriend' was actually a composite character, based off of multiple girlfriends he had both in New York City and in Chicago.

"During an interview in the Oval Office, Obama acknowledged that, while Genevieve was his New York girlfriend, the description in his memoir was a “compression” of girlfriends, including one who followed Genevieve [Cook] when he lived in Chicago," Maraniss writes in his new biography, an excerpt of which was published online today by Vanity Fair.

But you know... we should totally take the rest of the story as gospel...

Haven't read the thread, but what if he listed himself as an Exchange Student or International student.

No, but I can tell you about my friends who got into Wharton with average grades based on entrepreneurial and community activity. I can tell you about the numerous Ivy League students I personally know who got in based on their peculiar background. Some can hardly speak English. I can tell you that every single incoming class at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and Penn will have at least one person from each of the fifty States and a checklist of 100+ countries. Guaranteed. Every time.

So grades aren't the end all be all, and they take into account other factors and the totality of ones in and out of classroom efforts. Sounds like good admission practices to me; no wonder Ivy League is the cream of the crop in this country

I think Obama signed up ( even though he couldn't have had good enough grades at Occidental ) for Columbia, got accepted, and then was off doing something sinister whilst some sheik paid people big money to say he was at school.

If he supposedly attended a class with 150 people in it and no one remembers him, why would the media not be all over this if no class mates remembered him?

If this was a Republican the media would be all over this shyt

Yes we can. Yes we can.

Especially if we are given a degree without attending class.

What about them? W allowed his transcripts to be released (not until 2004) and even then the grades were redacted.

I actually find broken homes to be quite pedestrian (and sad). I have no idea what you are talking about.

For his undergraduate? From Occidental to Columbia?

What "totality" did he bring? Please be specific.

(please note - I have read both of his books)

What are you getting at? What is your theory? That literally he never attended a class at Columbia? To what end?

He asked someone else. I just don't get what the point is. I truly am amazed at the frenzy the right wing has been whipped up into over the stupidest crap imaginable.

Ok, some right wing crazies come up with wild hairbrained shite. Ok. But that still doesn't change the fact that there are huge questionable gaps in the Obama narrative. They may be filling them in with lunacy, but that's only because the questions remains unanswered.

We were talking about Ivy admission policies in general, not Obama specifically.
