Like I said, that's a very good point.
Looking at it that way, that might clear the path for a 7-0 map.
Yeah I don't see a way around it. If race isn't a factor, there are no D districts in Alabama.

They gonna’ lose big in the Supreme Court.

3 judge panel blocks Alabama redistricting efforts
If it can be shown that race was a deciding factor in the redistricting, the three judge panel ruling will be upheld. That seems like a high bar. Outcome will be contingent on the arguments, and proof that race was the basis for the new districts.
I don't see this as a slam dunk for either side. But it is an obvious next step in the legal process, and was predictable. Hopefully the basis for Alabama redistricting was sound in other ways. If so, this will be overturned.

You're allowing one demographic special privileges which is what SCOTUS said you could not do.
You can say that, and even believe it, but that isn't what this opinion says.

Well Mr Smug Alabama is appealing the Three Fascists ruling. LINK

Alabama has filed a notice that it will appeal a three-judge district court’s ruling blocking the use of a Republican-favored congressional district map to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Attorney General Steve Marshall filed the notice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama this morning.

I don't understand why they chose to re-enter this exact map instead of just drawing a new one, with a new record that doesn't implicate race as a factor.
That's the obvious next step here, almost regardless of what SCOTUS does in this case.

Yea, this will put in an end to the the lower court's decision pretty quickly.

One could argue that desegregation is a liberal western concept created by hwite men
There’s no argument to be had. It 100% is a white man created concept just as anti racism, etc.
the rest of the world is extremely tribalist which they’ve brought here and killed the meritocracy that made us the greatest nation in the world

This is my question. Guess they’re lazy. Actually we know they’re all lazy.

Being lazy and not doing it right the first time can very well cost them the 2026 change now.
