Ah, when your propaganda can't stand up on the PT board, you move it here? You're so brave.

Inflation back down to 1.5%.

No one believes that.

Why is everyone saying the economy sucks?

Because real inflation is over 20%. Grocery bills, energy, literally every single cost metric that real people pay is higher.

We're kicking the rest of the world's arse since COVID

We have the highest real sustained inflation rate since COVID of any developed country.

Terribly misleading.

I got an idea, lets raise the price on everything by 80% and then right before the election, lower it about 15% and we can say "look what we did for you!"

FWIW, Q2 was not revised this morning.

Here you go, dipshit.

August - revised down by 800,000 jobs

There will be no difference in a week when the new numbers come out.

It is 1 week from an election and the incumbent party is trying to make you think the economy is strong. It isn't hard to figure out.

The sad part, is he believes what the government tells him. The same government that told him masks work, and Covid came from bat soup.

People feel poorer due to the higher prices they are paying for everything - food, insurance, real estate, vehicles. They don't feel better off now than pre Covid.

Pay is lagging behind inflation for most people. Someone will reply with a statistic that shows otherwise, but the lower 75% of employed people are not having their pay keep up, while the top 25% or so are bringing up the numbers

This isn't a liberal or conservative thing, man.

The problem with society is that unless you make about a million a year you’re basically the poverty class

If you make 150k people that don’t work have the same stuff as you and sometimes better stuff and they have plenty of time to enjoy it whereas you’re always at work

But “poor” people also don’t have to worry about the price of groceries because they get like 5 grand a month on their ebt card

Eventually America will have 100 rich guys and everybody else will live in one big trailer park. Dummies who choose to go to work like doctors and lawyers will live next door in the trailer park to smart people who game the system and get a check

Almost one million jobs overcounted proves they're just flat out lying.

How long till these numbers get updated?

Exactly like the crime numbers they tried to “fact check” Trump on during the debate.

*Trump was actually 100% correct and the numbers were false. Conveniently updated after the debate.

Didn’t stop the fake news from reporting it though…..just no mention when the numbers were revised.

Since we’re doing Politics on the OT, my contribution is that democrats are pieces of shite child groomers.

Their go to is the stock market, which means the rich are getting richer.

Importing millions of unskilled, uneducated people and flooding the market with cash is how you destroy and economy.

My portfolio is great
My income is up
Business is good
Debt is reasonable.

The inflation was inevitable after Covid. Shutting down worldwide production is going to raise prices. A lot of price increases we see today is just because of greed. Only way to combat is for Americans to stop buying the products. But we need milk and eggs.

Otherwise , Americans thirst to consume is going nowhere, and sellers will take advantage.

The narrative that the economy is bad is silly. It’s been robust for awhile.

Massive government and defense spending is responsible for this. It's a house of cards if we don't transition to a more manufacturing & energy-centric economic model. Trump is not perfect, but understands this better than most politicians.

Then why did we amass 35t in debt creating it?

The economy is fricking broke when you have to use debt to keep it above water.
