This is the first year of my adult life I have been unable to watch the DNC. The only democrat I ever voted for was Bill Clinton, round 1, and I regretted my vote by Inauguration Day. I was 19 yrs old and believed what they told me on MTV; and Bill sounded southern and had an ambitious wife. I didnt watch the convention, and realized I had made a huge mistake and he wasn’t actually interested in any of the same things I was.

This year I could only stomach the mandatory parts: basically Joe and Kamala. I was traumatized by the acid trip of “something’s happening here.” I refused to watch a YouTube video of Barack and Michelle Obama lecturing me from Martha’s Vineyard. Plus the rest was unwatchable and I attend zoom meetings for my day job.

This yrs debacle of a DNC shite show aside, i sincerely like to see what “both sides” are putting on as their best face. It does give you an idea of the direction and vision that each pol party has for the country.

This year. I learned the Democrats vision was to have the Wizard of Oz run the US, but it was ok bc Joe is empathetic and everyone will be wearing masks and nobody can hug each other, or get close enough to have sex or have any fun together ever again. Because. Joe said so. Or the people who make Joe say Things say so said so.

I am glad I watched the RNC- bc I think it was a game changer for my own political party Which I intermittently despise, bc it used to despise me and not give 2 shits what I thought about anything. More importantly, I believe it changed hearts and minds. There are no sports on TV and people are trapped in their houses, and my POTUS had real people, not a bunch of vapid movie stars, but real, actual people, talk about things that are important to real, actual people.

Can’t wait for the big event. And I’m also kind of dying to see what the Turtle will say. I often like the points the Turtle makes In his floor speeches even tho I intermittently despise him.

I love the POTUS. This shite is going to be fanfrickingtastic and they are going to completely muh mask meltdown on CNN. Can. Not. Wait.

Dana White spoke at the 2016 convention to. Whether you like him or not, he is loyal to his friends. Plus he DGAF.

The lineup tonight is lit. Tom Cotton said he’s going in dry on Biden. The media will all be medicated on Xanax after it’s over. What would be nuts is if Alice Johnson brought out Kim Kardashian and she called Biden a racist.

FWIW, they should do the convention like this every four years. No large crowd. You can listen to every speech without interruption. Different location for speeches. I’ve never watched a convention all the way through ever. This year was the first.

The RNC has delivered some greatness, the regular citizens have a huge impact.
