I think that Weagle’s point is that this map

might provide a more-realistic understanding of the 2016 vote than this map

In that the second map looks unrealistically impressive for the GOP, given that it won lots of states with vast open spaces and almost no people. As a GOP voter, I always cringe when my compatriots beat their chests about the second map.

nope. Everyone understands both Maps. The second map shows just how much liberals have isolated themselves in the last 30 years when you compare it to similar maps from that time frame

Actually...

Now the problem is that Progressives are moving away from the areas they have successfully destroyed and are working to turn much of those red areas blue. It is a fresh host for the parasite.

Once they are done fricking that up, they will move somewhere else.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Clearly all did not, since people were arguing about it. Has anyone ever compared you unfavorably with a wet blanket? They should.

Actually, I think this map best represents the election:

It drew my eye as well, but the total surface area looks about right on closer examination, in comparison to CA, FL and NY. They just had to warp the shape somewhat to make it fit next to New Mexico, with its tiny Electoral representation.

Construction of the map is actually pretty impressive, keeping the shapes recognizable and the relations to adjoining states accurate, while warping the scales of all the states.

But I am a cartophile, so maybe I am easily impressed on this issue.

How did this board survive before you were here to explain every single OP to us? You are very impressed with yourself.

The OP expressed a thought. Some posters clearly did not understand his point. I provided a clarification that I thought might add something useful to the conversation. It is my understanding that this is a normal progression of civil discourse on fora of this type.

You are really an unpleasant little person, aren’t you?

Kind of funny you need to do this to make yourself feel better.

She lost, Trump won and is continuing to do so

Isn’t Weagle a Trump voter?

I have agreed with Weagle, and I have disagreed with Weagle, but I don’t think I have ever mistaken Weagle for an HRC apologist.

It doesn’t matter. If you say anything negative, imply anything negative, or present any information which could be construed to be negative in any way towards DJT, it means you’re prog-filth scum that still thinks it’s her turn. Doesn’t matter who you voted for or what your political beliefs are.

This map is fake news:

I noticed right away that it has my county (Pierce CO, WA) as red when it went D.
