I am jaded as can be and I didn't read it that way. I think the media and GOPe wants division. It is obvious that the GOPe put the $$$$$$ Rollins up to starting a DeSantis 2024 superPAC.

Go read the lengthy article on how Kemp won. The GOPe put up time, money, sleepless nights. Kemp stole Purdue's staff. Kemp knew Purdue is a tightwad in politics. Kemp stole Purdue's donors. It took some slick tactics for the GOPe and Kemp to gut out Purdue.
In the end whoever has the billionaire donors' ears wins. Kemp had donor money plus the GOPe money. Trump & Purdue had PAC money & that is it.

The Donor that's very wealthy husband died loves DeSantis & Trump. She was with DeSantis at one of the the secret GOPe pow wows So it may be DeSantis.

I’m going to get down voted to hell for this.
They are going to try and use DeSantis to squeeze Trump out and then make DeSantis heel to the establishment.
DeSantis seems too good to be true at exactly the right time.
But who knows?

Also, it’s really difficult to beat an incumbent especially in a primary- trump was an idiot to think Perdue would beat Kemp - but trump’s instincts remain around him - he doesn’t have a smart strategy for other people

DeSantis governed best before he started playing to the Trump ppl- now he listens to off base RW advisors, who have made him a darling to trump supporters but a bad leader

Trump made a huge mistake thinking the GOP would truly work with him. IRL business works with money and negotiations. Trump was a damned good CEO of America and w/o his hands tied could do all Americans good.
He isn't a racist. Anyone with a functioning brain knows this.
DeSantis was placed in Fla. for the eventual POTUS run. He took Trump's spiel and endorsement & mocked and called out the media. Rubio failed so they gave him a Chairmanship. Rubio failed because he came in on the tea party mantle and dissed the HFC upon DC arrival. Rubio's mask came off at the debates because of Trump.
The most comical thing about the Kemp discussion & the establishment loving posts on this board was: Someone in that thread that actually said Kemp is a good, popular, well loved in Georgia, Christian, family man.
That is like saying Turtle or Graham are good decent, Christian family men. Who in da frick did ya'll think you would fool painting Kemp as a Dubya sainted man?

Time will tell on your last sentence but damn, in 2020, that great CEO shot to hell the great economy he was handed - kinda makes you think how amazing it would have been if he wasn’t into government bailout (printing fake money) or tariffs ? I assume you live in Florida and if you do Ron Desantis has done nothing but kept this state running at a 100% efficiency even when most states were crippled to the COVID BS. He calls out mainstream media right to their faces and they coward down because he states facts not tweets. Ron is what this country needs but honestly I hate to lose him in this state.
