You’re a cop, aren’t you?

Nooe. You made me do my own work and you've been less than honest in your arguments. But since you can't answer the question because the media refuse to report on it, not my problem.

Not true. Philando Castille complied and that cop panicked and shot him anyway. Some cops just suck.

Cops, like everyone else, make mistakes. This police officer will almost certainly pay a stiff price for his actions. If your argument is that we give up all the good cops because of a few bad ones, then you are a fool. We've seen what defund the police has brought us. In my town, the Department is at about half strength and crime is running rampant.
Thank God we have a logical answer to a perceived problem.
Now I have not watched the video, nor read past the first couple of responses
- but /\ THAT /\ is the perfect answer to ANY of these situations regardless of color/ethnicity/class on either side of the issue.
There are too many people on here who like to puff up their chests and gain a "twitter-benny" by making stupid statements about cops.
Review the evidence and make decisions based on the facts!! not the feels.
edit - looked at the video and there is no excuse for THIS action that is evident in what is captured on film. THIS cop is in a bad situation and WILL face severe consequences unless there are ADDITIONAL FACTs not known at this time. I can conceive of no reason for the actions taken.
Yes - the kid messed up - but he is a kid.
BUT - this does NOT make it open season on cops in general

Because I live in a society and follow a lifestyle based on rules next to a city eaten up with murder and armed assault. The left with their buttboy libertarians are trying to tear that society down so car jackers and murders can have their way and at its most basic, this is the only real reason we have cops. So he did a bad, stupid thing but it doesn't mean he was entirely wrong and we should acknowledge that if this kid was a menace to society or we are going to end up with San Francisco where cops watch bands of thugs roll up and walk off with thousands in private merchandise. If it's not important, why hide it? The reason for the stop and whether his assumptions were accurate are materially relevant to motive.

this the kid who was told to get out the car? Instead he said why? then threw is in reverse and tried to drive away?
Can you explain what's wrong with a law abiding citizen asking "why" and driving away.
You do understand an officer has NO authority to ask or do anything if you aren't detained, right?

but comply with the cops
People.like you are the problem. The COP is the ine breaking the law here. He had NO right approaching or questioning. No law broken by kid!
WTF is wrong w you

None of that wall of text word salad in a response of any kind to the question of why you are defending this piece of shite while his department has already distanced themselves.
Your entire defense is nothing but hypotheticals, what ifs, and “waiting for the facts to come out”, with you being predisposed to believing all of those things would exonerate the piece of shite that shot a 17 year old when his life was not in danger.
The department already has all that information. They know all the facts that are going to come out. They be nothing to do with him. Are you intelligent enough to remove your tongue from that boot for a few seconds to contemplate what that means?

Why don't you think the cops should comply to the law? Cops aren't legally allowed to simply walk up and question law abiding citizens and kill them when they feel like ut?

so running from the police two times warrants summary execution? interesting position.

i'm generally with you regarding the police - i'm certainly not a "defund the police" guy. we absolutely need cops, and we need a lot of them. however, when you say he wasnt entirely wrong, you're losing me. he WAS entirely wrong. he was never in danger for his life. the dude tried to run away and he shot the shite out of him. that is entirely wrong.

I see NOBODY defending THIS 'piece of shite'
But I DO see people castigating ALL COPS because of what this piece of shite did.
Did you know there are really crooked doctors - and bankers - and preachers - and school teachers - and airline pilots - and journalists - and morticians - and & - & - & - - - -
Do you get this outraged every time one of them goes off the rails - and denounce the ENTIRE PROFESSION????
if so - then link an example
in the meantime.

NO HE DID NOT!! He is a free citizen and can do, act, and react however he wants...as long as it doesn't break laws.
He did NOT break a law. He is under ZERO laws forcing him to respond to a cop who isn't detaining him.
So cop shoots him!??
People like you who don't understand freedom are exactly what the issue is!
If a cop walks up to me, without me committing a crime, and asks for my ID...I am under no responsibility to stop or even acknowledge him..zero...NONE.
If he grabs me at that point because he feels slighted, he us committing assault....breaking the law he's supposed to uphold. Do you understand?

agree that the cop is the one breaking the law here...but that doesnt mean he didnt have a right to approach or question the kid. i think he acted foolishly by opening the door without warning, but he didnt break the law until he shot the kid.

I just want to know if the car was stolen. The only reason that would upset yoh is because you are an irrational ideoligically driven douchebag who believes all cops are bad and inherently guilty. You are no different than the cop porn guys. Some gang banger getting shot fleeing the cops is not a net good for society. If this kid stole this car, he will likely steal no more. Problem solved. If that doesn't resonate with you, I have to assume you are one of his peers or you have nothing of value to take because some white guy with a job and a retirement and a mortgage understands what a detriment a car jacking weasel is to society.
If you still don't understand my explanation, that's on you. You bunch of reflexively hysterical women are cracking me up with your inability to make any distinction, but that's your problem.
