Well...errr...maybe. Maybe the ones that didn't cook to death in the fire when the streams boiled

You can light a smelt (candlefish) and burn it slowly.

BTW: Fire season is typically May -October.

.The reservoir was drained in Feb 2024. February precedes May.

The manager of the water & power system was hired in May of 2024 and has had 8 months to have it refilled, it is still empty.

BTW during extended droughts, such as LA is experiencing the fire season is extended until there is sufficient rainfall.

There it is folks. Roger thinks not paying taxes when you die makes you a public leech. His true colors always shine bright.

I know. It’s like playing chess with a pigeon. Still…I’m drawn to it like a moth to a flame.

Now my advice for those who die (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes (taxman)
'Cause I'm the taxman
Yeah, I'm the taxman
And you're working for no one but me (taxman)

Team “you don’t need water to fight fire”

Well, that’s how a moron recasts it. I never said that and don’t think it.

I said that I’m sure the local government was inept. Ours was during Katrina. Although water, in the fire mains, would have probably saved a few houses, it wasn’t the big story, which was a lack of fire prevention. Once these fires started it was Katy-bar-the-door.

I think the Government of California, has foolishly put arcane environmental priorities ahead of pressing human ones. They should have built more reservoirs 20 years ago. But if they had, and they followed the same stupid forest management policies, we would have approximately the same size tragedy on our hands.

I’m not dying on this hill, buddy, you are. You’re just too stupid to realize it.

Controlled burns, fire breaks and cleaning forest floors are the answer.
That is correct when the fires aren’t burning.

When they are, missing 117m gallons will definitely matter.

So dumb. 117 million gallons wouldn’t make a difference? Only a complete idiot would make that claim. You’re the complete idiot

But go ahead and quadruple that number and there still would be a lot of water to wet down houses and put out fire.

Quadruple that number would not even touch it. A 1.5" standard fire hose at 100 psi working pressure will flow 75-100 gpm depending on nozzle setting.

Now that reservoir would have made a huuuge difference in maintaining a fireline on that wildfire.

Embers were igniting shite far from the fire source.

People were at the mercy of the wind, not of water.

Embers...

So, if water had been available when these embers settled we might have been able to keep them from establishing more conflagrations.

I agree. That’s why I would never make that claim, and didn’t. I said it would have made a difference in saving a few homes, but we would still be left with approximately the same size tragedy. Look at your post. It’s quoted in your post.

This is a testament to the poverty of your arguments, that you must restate mine, changing the meaning, so you can lance what is YOUR creation.

Ahh, I see the problem. You don’t know what “approximately” means. You are remarkably stupid.
