100 Days: Democrats see clear path to Senate majority

Democrats have a clear path to winning back the Senate majority with just 100 days to go before Election Day, a result that could give the party total control of Congress and the White House if presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden also wins.
Biden has built up a significant lead over President Trump in polls, and his strength coupled with Trump’s weakness is lifting Democratic candidates across the country. Democrats lead in polls in Arizona, Colorado, Maine and North Carolina, enough to win back the Senate if Biden takes over the White House even if Sen. Doug Jones (D) loses his underdog reelection bid in Alabama.
Yet there are even more opportunities for Democrats, underscoring the rising fortunes for their party. Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) is facing a difficult reelection battle against his state’s Democratic governor, and on Thursday the Cook Political Report shifted two more Senate races — one in Iowa and one in Georgia — into the "tossup" column.
Democrats are raising huge sums of money, ensuring the party will have the coffers to compete this fall and underscoring enthusiasm among its voters. Republicans in Kansas, South Carolina and Kentucky, all states where the GOP will be favored, have races where Democrats can’t be counted out.
“We’re in a bad place right now,” one veteran Republican Senate campaign operative said. “Unless this bounces back, [Sen. Cory] Gardner (R-Colo.) is gone, [Sen. Martha] McSally (R-Ariz.) is gone, it’s not hard to see [Sen. Susan] Collins (R-Maine) and [Sen. Thom] Tillis (R-N.C.) losing.”
Those four GOP incumbents — Gardner, McSally, Collins and Tillis — are among Senate Democrats’ top electoral targets this cycle,

It's amazing that within 100 days of the election, the Democrat nominee for President hasn't hardly had a public appearance in 6 months.

Is this story a month old or something?

I doubt he comes out of hiding even to do the Debates. Why should he since he's been hiding, his numbers have "supposedly" gone up.

We’re definitely fighting an uphill battle in a few states. The problem is that McSally and Gardner are both weak candidates. Gardner is running against a well established Dem in a Blue state. McSally hasn’t ever seemed to have gotten a lot of support and the Covid numbers are pretty bad there.
The optics on these two don’t look promising.

Ok senator Doug Jones in Alabama is gone. They need to find more seats than that

If Trump loses the democrats will control all three levels, if he wins they will keep the senate and maybe a shot at regaining the house.
Simple as that

McSally is awful. She’s Jeff flake in drag.
Ironically- she lost to Sinema bc she campaigned against her as an anti trump republican.
Now. She absolutely needs Trump’s energized base. You just cannot convince me that Biden’s people are motivated enough to show up.
But seriously. frick the Arizona Republican Party. And their weird tans

Oh well, it's up to the voters and it always has been. They vote the way they do expecting the results they wish.

The polls told them the same thing in 2016 and 2018. You know what actually happened? After the 2016 election, the democratic party was the weakest that it had been in 80 years or so, and after the 2018 election they had 3 less seats in the Senate than they did before the election.

Yep yep yep. The voting patterns of "moderate democrats" like Joe Manchin and Doug Jones prove that moderate democrats do not exist. Unfortunately, Americans do not have the luxury of voting for a candidate anymore. We have to vote republican unless we want to live in the United Socialist and Social Justice States of America.
