Real question is how do you not know who Ben Simmons is?

Heir to Lebron is a bit extreme
He has potential to be tho

Ben Simmons work ethic will determine if he is the heir to Lebron. As a junior in high school and going INTO his senior year, Lebron was NOT the NO.1 player, he was No. 2, until the showdown against the the No.1 player doing AAU when Lebron went off for something like 25pts, 10rebs, 8asst to catapult him to his ranking.
The ONLY difference between Lebron and the other player was WORK ETHIC. Lebron honed his skills, was a dedicated gym rat, unselfish player and the rest is history.
Simmons has shown the same attributes as Lebron at this early stage when comparing the two. I would give Ben a nod over Lebron as a ball handler, Lebron was a physical force under the basket in high school. And Lebron had an edge to him, a desire to be the best.
Both have a special talent to make OTHERS better.

Because if he was the heir to LeBron he wouldn't be coming to LSU.

If you're the "next" LeBron James wouldn't you go somewhere more likely to win a national championship?
His godfather is an assistant coach on our staff.

LeBron didn't win a college championship bro.....he didn't go to college
So comparing Simmons to him is not close. (as far as college speak goes)
And NO, Ben will not be nearly the pro LeBron is. Not even close. Get real.

GeeOH-To say that Ben will not be nearly the pro Lebron is, well that's a matter of opinion. I saw Lebron in person when he was in high school, coached against him doing AAU. The game I coached against him, Lebron was 5/23 from the field. His jump shot left a LOT to be desired at that stage. He did dominate all the other phases of the game, rebounding, blocks, assist and THAT was the difference.
I see the SAME at this stage in Ben Simmons, if Ben develops a consistent mid range jumper he will be on the level of Lebron in do time. They are very very similar in their games at the high school stage of their careers. And the scary part of Ben Simmons is that he may not be finished growing.

He's more of a Tracy McGrady/Kevin Durant hybrid.
Anyway. He's a stud.

He will not be near the pro LeBron is, PERIOD.
Saying differently is just untrue.
Glad you saw LeBron have an off game yet still totally dominate you.
I love Simmons game and glad he's a Tiger.

People are comparing the high school players. Their careers up to this point.

People also said Davis would level out at best as Garnett. He's a top 3 player in the NBA right now.

Garnett was great at the same age as well. Although not nearly as fundamentally sound as Davis.
"leveling out" as good as Garnett is pretty damn good. He has had a GREAT career
In 3 years Davis is a 19 and 9 guy
In 19 years Garnett has averaged over 18 and 8 and thru many of his year he was a wel over 20 pts and 15 rebs/game
Not sure of your point, but Davis has a LONG way to go before he is considered a better NBA career guy than Garnett

GeeOh-IF you would have seen Lebron in high school you would have said the same thing you are saying about Ben Simmons. You would have said NO WAY Lebron would be as good as Kobe Bryant as a Pro. Fact is there was a MORE talented player than Lebron doing that same period, difference in that player and Lebron is, the other player made poor choices and Lebron didn't.

Dude is just a troll..pay him no mind..

No man, youre missing the piont. Lebron could have been pro in many sports. He is a physical FREAK. 6'8 ish 260 running like a gazell and jumping as well as anyone.
NO ONE was more talented than Lebron. They may have been more skilled, I'l give you that. But raw talent? No way.
Kobe and Lebron are different in their play type, Koby more finesse and LJ more physical.
I would probably take Koby in his prime over Lebron in his.
I think it would have been foolish to say that about Lebron in high school being as good as Koby, that's' exactly why its dumb to say Simmons and Lebron in the same comparative breath....

I see Simmons as a combination of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson...and both took their respective teams to the final game the same year.
