lotta rumblings something big is happening there and they have a presser scheduled for tomorrow. Word is they have been leaning on Bob to fire a bunch of coaches (incl Mike) and he's fought back.

Speculation that it has come to a head and he will step down tomorrow

Word.

Now, Bob Stoops I would consider for DC. His resume is solid.

really? Because there's like a 10 page thread on the OU board about it. Lotta meth in Oklahoma though

and this is a tweet from an OU beat writer
quote:

@jasonkersey
Very reliable source close to the OU program, on staff changes: "I'd say this week is going to be historic

what exactly is historic about firing or hiring position coaches

Stoops was going to be Michigan's head coach if Harbaugh said no, according to some key insiders in Ann Arbor.

No wonder the brother was trying to get on with Miles

Bob Stoops is turning over his staff.

I've had a feeling since the train wreck at home against Baylor that he may be on his way out. He's been awesome for OU but they have slipped considerably since the 2011 home loss to Texas Tech that ended their 6 year home winning streak.

Hard to imagine Bob Stoops stepping down though?

Maybe in the same sort of way that Mack Brown stepped down after last season.

Idk if this is true, but I know that Stoops won't be at OU for much longer. Like a previous poster said, Stoops as headed north if the Harbaugh deal fell through. Oklahoma's program has became very stagnant and time has about run its course for Stoops at OU.

And a hell of a 15 year run it has been. His 2000-2002 defenses were amazing and his 2008 offense was historically great. For a long time, a game at Oklahoma was a certain loss on your schedule. Oklahoma has been passed in the conference pecking order by Baylor and Kansas State now though, and that is and should be unacceptable there. I personally feel Stoops has done all he can do there, and it would be best for both parties to part ways.

If true, this is one of the premier coaching jobs in the country and would make a very interesting late addition to the coaching carousel.

These rumors are more than likely being put out there because of the 'unprecedented' press conference tomorrow. Its been the talk of the state tonight.

Josh Heupel seems to be staying on the staff.

Jay Norvell was Co-Offensive Coordinator with Heupel, but he is gone by all indications. Expect 2-3 other moves in next few days.

Bob Stoops would rather eat shite than be on Miles staff.

There is a real dislike between those 2
