Making the first trip of the year next week. Have the trout started showing up yet?

Was down there last Saturday, but my boys just wanted to catch bull reds all day, so that's what we did. Talking to guys at Bridgeside the trout bite was slow and sporadic in GI.

Report from last week: they were at the lower reaches of the marsh. Should be making the run soon.

The trout are not out in numbers yet. I do know someone that caught a 6.5lber around Timbalier last week.

Buddy went last weekend. Caught bulls in the pass and ran out to some of the close rigs for sheephead. Nice thread on lasm mapping out bull red spots.

Op, you should be able to find school trout under the birds in the bays with no problem.
