Most depressing saints game I've ever watched thanks to Gregg Williams.

Most depressing game I watched because it capped the worst sports week (1/9 then this game) an LSU and Saints fan ever had.

Stopped watching or reading about sports for almost two months after that week. Ugh.

Exactly. After 1/9 I was of course upset. But then I though "you know what, frick it. The saints play this weekend and were likely headed to the Super Bowl"

Then this fricking shite. All time sports low for me.

I was doing homework while watching this game. I'm glad I had something else to focus on.

I did throw a remote, though.

Blitzing Smith had success throughout the game but Williams refusal to mix up & find a balance of coverage calls & blitz calls cost the team this game. Every big offensive play by the 49ers late in the game came when the defense was caught in blitzes. Williams was entirely too predictable at crucial moments.

I kept waking up during the night. I would think it was a bad dream for a minute until I remembered it was real. I'd get sad and go back to sleep.

It was gut wrenching. Took me a while to get over it, and all of 2012 was a nightmare.

2013 was a nice rebound season. We needed it.

Maybe, but it was painful watching them waste away the 2 seed and the division.

Compared to the nightmare that was the bounty gate season I'd say last year was pretty good.

When you look at how stacked this team is going into this comin season it's very encouraging.

Why?

What would have changed?

In every scenario, we lose to the Seahawks.

It means if we do play them, it's not until the NFCCG, which maybe we still lose, but ALSO maybe they lose in the divisional round. San Fran came close.

It was encouraging to see the turnaround, but frustrating at the same time with the offensive woes. Especially considering how the season started. Remember how everyone was feeling after the Dallas game?

We've spoken about a lot of things this offseason.

Which positional holes have been filled.
Who's the best for which job.
Who to draft.

But if we don't fix our Away offensive woes, then it won't matter how stacked we are next season.
Yeah, we beat the Eagles in the Wild Card Round; but I'm not convinced we've exorcised those demons.
