Yeah this new album is pretty solid after 1 listen. The Monitor is really well done though. Will be hard to top.

I judge them for much less than that... There is wayyy too much music to sift through these days... its as good a way as any to start cutting... if i miss something good, I'll eventually get to it...

So, Ive listened to this and went and checked out the Monitor... After first listen, it seems their records are best listened to as a whole and not as singles... not to say the songs cant stand alone

How else would you listen to a record? Almost every album I own I listen from beginning to end.

I often times never listen to an album all the way through... I also make mixes from time to time... I'd actually say most songs are listened to NOT in the context of a whole album...

I can't think of many albums that are meant to be listened to beginning to end more than The Monitor.

yeah, I enjoyed my first listening... at times it sounds like one long song... and a few times I could swear Connor Oberst was singing...
