I drove by yesterday (state/magazine) and the building was gutted inside. I thought it was strange as it was remodeled less than 3 years ago. Wow shut down about 3 months ago. Pretty quick turnover.

Jesus. I just ate at that Wow in May before I left NOLA. I had no idea they were going down the gutter.

The only time they were ever busy was saints games. Other than that they were pretty slow. Service sucked too.

The only time I ever went was after my last final of the semester. Then, I would get knee deep into a tower of beer. Guess I never really knew about the service issues

Was thinking the same thing, doesn't seem big enough. Also, TulaneLSU is going to shite bricks having a national chain on State and Mag. Poor guy.

Anyone remember the name of the restaurant(s) that went in the space after Hofbrau but before WOW? I know there was at least one seafood joint.

I was sort of feeling that too. Probably not going to happen though.

Small space for a Saucer. Should put a Gingerman there instead.

I worked at Flying Saucer in Memphis and lived across the street from WOW on Magazine.

Service sucked arse at the WOW. PBR on tap for $2 made it ahight.

Way too small for FLying Saucer... 75 beers on tap? In there???? hell no.. Maybe the WOW could be a FS.

Just google flying saucer and you'll see.. at least the one in Memphis downtown.

I've never been to Flying Saucer but people tell me it's similar to Yard House (more of a restaurant with a huge beer selection than a bar like Bulldog). Yard House had a generic/sterile feel to it much like Gordon Biersch, though the beer selection was far superior and the you can't beat their late night happy hour.
