Who would win? Would LSU with McCarron at QB beat Bama with JJ at QB, all else being equal (and assuming, obviously, that each QB was familiar with the other team's playbook, etc.)?

LSU wasn't going to win that game with Drew Brees at QB. Not with that gameplan.

Nothing would change, although JJ sucks our play calling sucked even more. That's all Les! Conservative bullcrap! I hope Les steps back and allows Mett to air it out next season. If so, LSU will be scary good.

Bama's defense would still be dominant. Unless the LSU OL had an answer for their pressure, McCarron would have been ground meat. But we might have avoided the humiliation of a shut-out and had some better offensive stats with McCarron at the helm. Oh wait... that would also be true if CLM had put JLee in. Who knows, he might have turned the Tide and changed the whole outcome of the game.

Bama would have won. You simply cannot pin this loss on JJ although he was terrible

Depends....can AJ complete the vaunted shovel pass to the linebacker play?

It's easy enough to pin the loss on JJ. He was completely ineffective. Miles gets the ultimate blame because he pounded the square peg into the round hole all night.

Would AJ have instant pressure in his face like JJ. Would AJ be forced to run the option to the short side of the field with Spencer Ware. Would AJ hand off to COPELAND on 3rd and 3? Would AJ be called on to run the speed option on 3rd and 14? The gameplanning for Bama looked professional, AJ didn't have much pressure and when he got pressure, baker and edwards missed the sack. That gameplan would have made Peyton Manning look like an idiot.....However, JJ was bad. I doubt if JJ would have been able to pull off an AJ performance with bama though.
