Went through about 7 yesterday... none today.

The highlight was probably the Bell's Oberon ale that tetu hooked me up with. Very nice hot-weather wheat ale. Also tried a New Belgium Somersault, with the same conclusion, a very good hot weather session beer.

Capped off the night with a Boulevard Dark Truth Stout, which was probably my least liked beer in their Smokestack Series. It was really thin and not as much flavor as I would expect from an imperial stout. That's Boulevard's first strike as far as I'm concerned, their other stuff has been awesome.

Just finished a Rye Lager by Great Divide that LSUBoo traded me for that oberon. . Might be my only beer today since I'm taking care of tetu jr by myself the rest of the day.

Going to try an Eel River IPA later that I just picked up from Albertson's. Anyone ever had it before?

Yeah, I had one of those yesterday too, only one I had saved for myself! It was pretty solid, although I didn't get a whole lot of rye and it was more just a typical malty lager.

I used to live out there, it's good to average. Solid, bit nothing to write home about IMHO. There's much better beers from humboldt that don't have the distribution.

Thats pretty much what I got out of it. The most underwhelming beer I've had from them, but not bad.

I really want to try some Bell's beers. I hear the Two Hearted Ale is great.

Kim. If I go out of town anytime soon I'll do my best to bring you some Bell's back.

Couldn't find it anywhere when I was in Florida recently. Should have settled for Oberon.

I just tried it. I'd say it is closer to good than average - a little thin though. Sometimes you gotta take what Albertson's gives you.

I got a Twisted Pine Hoppy Boy IPA last time and that was maybe a little better.
