I just reached that status. I have to tread lightly when buying more beer b/c it has been ending up outside of my stockpile closet and the wife won't have it. I don't want to zip through all of my out of town stuff though.

Yeah, I hear you. I only bought 4 bombers at the Beverage Store the other day and could have easily bought a dozen more. I didn't get any Jolly Pumpkin, but they are a little pricier. Hard to pass up Stone bombers at $5.49.

That's a damn fine way to cut your teeth. Maybe expensive, but fine.

Actually, I think this is the easiest way to get people into craft beers. However, getting them use to the alcohol content is a personal pleasure of mine because I generally get to enjoy the blackmail material that ensues.

Well, in Louisiana it was (and still is) far easier to get all the different Belgian (and German) beers than craft beers from other States. So I found some Belgians that I loved like Koningshoeven Quad (yes, I know they are in the Netherlands, but it's a Belgian-style) and went from there.

If their stuff was reasonably priced I'd have alot more of it.

My problem is alot of the time, I'm not sure if I want more than one beer, so I've been trying to stay away from bombers and getmore 12oz'ers. It seems like alot of the good stuff at a good price/oz is in bombers though. I love the 500ml bottles. Perfect size to drink myself or split with my wife since if she wants a taste (she doesnt hog too much of it.)

Speaking of, has anyone seen Petrus Aged Pale Ale in town? Had it at Avenue Pub, saw it bottled at spec's, but don't know if I've seen in bottles in LA?

Planning on having a Bell's party for the first tailgate (if we can afford the parking fees). Even got a little party keg of Oberon. I am loving that Bell's since getting turned onto it by the F&D board.

I think we can pool some money together to make this happen. Attendees may have to bring extra beer though.

I have been going to see family in Michigan all these years without realizing that while they were drinking The Beast or Budlight, I could have been enjoying one of the best American brewed beer lines I have ever had.

We will be busting up some Bell's on the Parade Grounds, so anyone that wants to grab one, come find us.

sorry i am late to the party .. but on sunday, i put a six pack of cold pabst blue ribbon in my outside freezer about a half hour before i finished the yard .. the first one went down like water and reminded me of that first ice cold miller pony i used to chug at sunrise when i would go fishing in college ..
