Recently learned of this ammo and it is SUPER quiet. Especially good for anyone having problems with pests within city limits.

Works best with single shot cause it won't cycle. Is designed for handguns but I have a friend who shoots them in a long rifle. I could not believe how quiet it was- like a daisy BB gun.

Here kitty kitty...

Ammo .22 Long Rifle Aguila Super Colibri LRN 20 Grain 500 fps

Aguila, .22 Super Colibri is super-quiet ammo that does not contain gun powder but fires from the force of the primer only. Powerful and silent, great for use in urban areas. This is a 20-grain solid lead bullet in a brass case. Will break glass and penetrate hard tin cans. Velocity is 500 fps at the muzzle with 11 ft/lbs of energy and can be lethal. This ammo works great and is intended for .22 handguns only. Simply some of the best ammo on the market today with a low noise rating.

Do not use in long-barreled guns as the projectile may become lodged and be dangerous (lethal) if a regular cartridge is shot as a follow up. Will not cycle in semi-auto handguns.
Uses: Indoor training, pest control.

I have not shot this ammo, but they also make a subsonic ammo that cycles my Spikes, .22 upper. It is as loud as a pellet gun...

CCI caps, as we called them, are very quiet and kill squirrels in neighborhoods with ease.

What do you do with your .22? People don't/can't use them to kill deer.

Good enough to do one-shot fatal head shots on skunks, squirrels, etc.

They are quiet but not as quiet as the ones I posted. It's like a puff of air not a "crack".

How much are they compared to .22LR I've got a nine shot revolver and this would be great for blinking.

They were 3 something per box of 50 but the shipping was $14.00.

Just copy and paste it in a search and it'll bring you to some sites that sell them.

While it's not legal to shoot deer with a 22LR in Louisiana, I have seen it done on multiple occasions at my old hunting lease

I shoot cb's in my .22 henry repeater all the time. The lever action rifles are good here because you can use the LR round or the small quiet rounds. You wont run into the ejection problem as you would with a semi auto.

Well I had a friend get shot in the neck with one and died on the way to the hospital in another of my friend's arms but I wouldn't suggest taking it as a home defense weapon either.

Those seem cool, but I never see em in the store and I refuse to order em. I'd like to try em.

My gun can't shoot shorts. I'm pretty pissed off that I didn't spend the few extra dollars and get a lever action

Not that I've done it, but I thought you could take deer with a .22 caliber or larger??

Heard a many a story about ear shots with a 22 or 22 mag

Not sure of the legality. But I've seen deer killed with pretty much everything other than a BB gun. If you held your piss long enough and hit them through the ear in the right spot they will drop like a sack of potatoes.

Saw a doe get hit with a .17 through the ear from over 200 yards and hit the ground before she knew what happened, pretty badass.
