Was stuck on the bridge for 2 hours Sunday staring at it. So the answer is NO. Saw quite a few boats. Water looked raised a bit from previously.

Caught 40# of crawfish this past Thurs then went back Fri and did the same thing. When the crawfish are running there, they are thick as thieves.

Sherburne WMA is 44,000 acres. Enough spots for everyone and you can only take 100# per vehicle.

just make sure to sign in at the little station in the parking lot or the dickhead LDWF will ticket you.

You been fishing the back ponds?

Went last year to the green tree, but it was dry. Tried the dove fields twice and had no luck. The first time the fields weren't cut and the second time it was late in the season. I've heard Sherburne is a woodcock hunter's paradise, FWIW, and I've heard the squirrel hunting is pretty decent.

Have to sign in! Also, must keep the vehicle tag posted inside vehicle. Have to sign out as well, or LDWF will call looking for you.

My friends and I fished the way back both days. Front ponds were still doing pretty well though. On Fri I fished behind two guys that limited out by 1130. Took over their spot when they left. So 140# of crawfish came out of an area about 50 yards long and 25 yards wide in the same day.

Its fun to walk through the ponds watching crawfish scatter.

Bummer. There's a big section of Big Alabama Road that's managed heavily for timberdoodles.

long walk, like 1 mile at least 2 1/2 miles all the way back to the back ponds.
I saw people with riding mowers with carts hooked up back there.

I drug a cart from the front to the back Fri. Ice chest, nets, bait etc. Took me 45 minutes. I got to the last ATV point and some kid asked me if I had drug the cart all the way from the front. He was amazed when I could barely say 'yes'.

My advice, bring an ATV but dont be a jerk and ride past the NO ATV signs.

ETA: Also, on your way out - dont try and take the wooden path as a shortcut out. It leads to a duck blind that has no way out. I was so fricking pissed once I got to that duck blind and had to drag my cart all the way back.

Funny thing I saw Fri- about 5 highschool aged guys gave up fishing, floated a raft and set up a game of beer pong in the pond.

That cracked me up.
