They only had the 42" Alpha and it was 2999. It's either not them or OP was lying! OR it was used...I dunno anymore.

mount a winch on that bitch. Help to get unstuck and also allow you to lift up the front if you hooked to something sturdy.

would be cool, i actually have a superwinch i never used but might be too big for lawnmower. Not sure where i can mount it to. I just tied a strap around front and pulled out with my 4 wheeler. no biggie. more pissed about muddying it up for first time, had to clean her.

Sorry for old bump....need a new mower. Will b residential....around 2 acres of grass. Another acre of woods/thicket. Had hoped my old man would give me one of his old tractors and I could have a small mower for finishing......

Can get away w a big mower. What was the verdicts of these threads (ive seen several over the past year or 2, bumped this one).

Thinking of a 60" gravely or hustler. Thoughts?

Thanks

Every person who paid a grand for their mower will tell you to buy that one.

I have a Hustler but think the Bad Boys are a better bang for the buck.

To repeat for the bazillionth time

I run a bad boy.
My cousin has a 10 year old skag.
His mom's hudband has a gravely.

The gravely is the newest and has developed a pronounced ping in the motor. Odd. And I think a fluke.

I prefer a kawi or briggs motor.

The guy with the gravely had to buy a second mower for his flying field. They bought an 8000$ bad boy. Every mower is in that price range.

If you can find a dealer do look at Bush Hog. We've had ours since 2003ish. We've only had basic maintenance issues like belts , blades, and oil changes. It's very easy to work on.
