Who has the scoop? I heard some young baws close to the Mecca tried to “pepper”a boat running off their ducks and it turned out to be LA DWF.

Know nothing about the story but it sounds like something that could very well have happened...folks have lost their damned minds. Take away the green jeans and you still have people displaying an inadequate amount of self awareness to be afield with a firearm. Add in the fact that it apparently was the man and its infinitely worse.

I have often thought it would be a fantastic idea for all policemen to have to work alongside a game warden during hunting season for at least one cycle and again periodically throughout their careers. Game wardens, in my experience, tend to be just as big a a-hole as the average cop. The area they excel in is not being terrified of the people they are policing and specifically not being terrified that they are almost all armed...given that all hunters are and a good many fisherman. Had someone done this to the average policeman the policeman would have most likely shot everyone in the vicinity several times...while green jeans no doubt just rolled in among em and starting making arrests knowing EERYBODY was armed...

I have never had a game warden unsnap his holster or lovingly fondle their gun while checking me while hunting. It happens about 25% of the times I have been stopped by the police for a minor traffic infraction.

yeah someone shoots at me and my instinct is to fire back. Should be interesting to note the story was pulled off of TV stations facebook page. It's a shame it wasn't USFWS where a trip to federal court would be in order and a likely 5 year hunting ban. Curious to see what the local DA does.

bullshite. Cops haven't worn "snap" holsters in 40-50 years.

Hunting strictly public land my whole life, I’ve run into a lot of game wardens and I don’t find that to be the case. The majority of them are just guys who like to hunt and fish also, and just want to shoot the shite with other outdoorsmen to pass their work day by. As long as you’re legal, they really don’t have a reason to be an a-hole.

If what I've heard is true, it's the same kid who paralyzed Sid in Wham Brake a few years ago by hauling arse and smashing into his boat. Also the same kid who paralyzed a girl that was riding in his sxs, then leaving her to fend for herself.

I don't have any issue at all with the checking me once a day but when the same ones check you multiple times a day its gets old. They also tend to check at inopportune times like in the pass coming inshore or just at shooting light. Some are incredibly good people just like some cops are. On average, in my experience, they are assholes, just like cops...just like all people. I will say I have never met one who suffered from an irrational fear of an armed citizen....cops could take some of that training for their own mental health.

So the kid who hit Sid and paralyzed the girl wasn't involved in this shooting at green jeans? I've heard from multiple people that he was. But you hear all kinds of stuff, so..
