I'd definitely shoot it. Never know when it will fall to disease, predators, another buck, poachers, a vehicle, etc.

This is in MS.

Another problem is our land borders the national forest, and the coonasses from LP and Slidell come out every year and run dogs in hopes of runing deer off our place on to them. I don't think this deer is biting though. There have been some serious rubs on a cypress tree about 200 yards from where this picture is taken, and this same deer has been seen in the sane field as in this picture. Deer like that seldom make it with that big of a rack our place.

My dad would pass on a 150" class deer if that meant no one else shot it and it was able to breed. His best friend though, not the case. He has what we call a grudge against deer.

My dad is the same way, he would probably let him walk at least a couple more years, but he and my uncle are the only two who hunt our place.

In theory I'd let him walk. In actuality, since I've never killed a deer that big, I'd blast him.

Sounds like your mind was made up long before the question was asked. Also get tired of the LP label people like yourself put on everyone from LP. Not everyone from LP is like yall make us out to be.

I venture to say you will not rid the world of the LP stigma. It is as old as the parish. If you do a little research it will become clear. I do not advocate the stereotype just trying to let you know the history.

I am a descendant of william denham and am quite aware of the history of LP. I do understand the stigma. It was earned for sure, but its time to let that go. I beat up a redneck in Mississippi this hunting season for that same shite. He put me in that same category without knowing me

Sounds like you fit the stereotype pretty well. FWIW I know not everyone in LP is trash, but this people that blatantly break the law and go as far as walking around our place looking for their dogs are indeed trash.

I would drop it in a second. But it looks like the absolute perfect deer to let walk. So if everyone agrees to let it walk it will be an awesome buck for someone's wall in a year or two.
