‘99-‘07 classic Chevrolet or GMC are the best trucks GM ever made IMO.

I had two 94 F150s, wonderful trucks. Only reason I had two is I totaled one. Had the 300 I6 in both. Great engines, but not fast. Lots of torque though.

As long as you don't get the dual zone climate control, keep a spare alternator and water pump handy, and get familiar with removing the intake to change out the knock sensors.

I have three of these trucks, all in excess of 225k miles.
Dual zone climate control sucks, luckily none of mine have that.
I have replaced the alternator one time on each truck. Easy job and not that expensive.
Water pump once each, easy job, not that expensive.
Knock sensors usually don’t give a problem unless they get flooded. Beware washing under hood. Intake remove is required but, another easy job.
You missed the big one. The 4L60E transmission. My ‘07 classic is the only one that hasn’t crapped out with over 250k on it but, it rarely pulls anything.

02 Tahoe 5.3. 1 alternator, 2 water pumps, 1 fuel pump. All cheap and easy to replace (fuel pump is a little booger).

Same bud light, er 4L60 tranny. So far so good.

320k miles

Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Damn baw I basically gave mine away here recently. I had a 1995 f150 single cab, 4wd with the inline 6. It flooded over the dash in 2016 and was back on the road within 2 weeks. Hard to kill those old trucks without really really trying.
