I have sunk multiple duck boats at the landing by overloading or forgetting the plug. I have dropped my big boat flat on the concrete ramp by forgetting to secure the bow. I have sunk my truck almost to the point of now return. I have jackknifed a trailer so bad it almost flipped the boat and fricked up my tailgate. I have backed my boat on the trailer right into a Cadillac hearse at the gas station

My granddad, RIP was notorious for forgetting to put in the plug. He would get so excited and just forget, and me too. One night he decided to go night fishing on TB. We put in at Pirates Cove and headed to the islands on the outer part of the cove. We are fishing from a 18' glastron, no trolling motor, no electronics, and no plug in the boat. I was fishing in the back and hear water trinkling from somewhere. l look down in the transom, full of water. Hollar at my grandad and brother there's water coming in. Dark arse night with no moon. We crank the boat motor (85hp) and take off, and me and my brother had to get up front because of the amount of water we had taken in, the boat was riding low in the back. Slowly it started to even out and we run ashore on one of the islands out in the bay. Didn't have q beam either.

My dad was bad about pulling the plug to let water drain and then forgetting to put it back in before he stopped to fish.
First time he ever let me take his boat out on my own I was 16. I took a couple of buddies to fish West Cove. We tore the trout and reds up but couldn't figure out why the boat wouldn't get on plane. Realized towards the end of the trip that the anchor had been out all morning. We were dragging a mud anchor all over West Cove

on the truck, slick steep ramp, overloaded boat.
slid right down into the water up to the bed LOL
on boat recovery luckily the boat was 1/4” aluminum. I backed the trailer up into the bow and pushed it down the ramp into the water.

I have a hitch extender I use for carrying my canoe in the back of the truck.
Backing down a steep ramp to the canoe which is pulled up on the ramp partially. Thump!
Hop out to see the canoe about 20’ out and moving. Some Vietnamese guy snagged the canoe for me with his rod and reel to save me swimming.
