EDIT: Sorry, I see it was asked and answered already.
Haven't read entire thread but did anyone mention cci powderless .22 ammo. Quiet as a pellet gun but not good for over 30 yards, I was told.

It's called a shot spotter. They are ok light pools and utility pole and on buildings in certain areas in the city. They triangulate the location of shots and can distinguish between back firing cars, fireworks etc.. The spotter ping a location in central dispatch by the airport. The dispatchers wait for the phones to start ringing to report shots fired then they send units to the area. They have been around for a while. Same with security cameras that can be controlled remotely from the same central dispatch center.

go to wally world and get you a pellet gun geez... if you are wanting to pop off rounds that bad go to the woods or a range. LOL popping off any unnecessary round in the city limits is just well a bad idea.
