Why do people on GunBroker insist of receiving Money Orders/checks?

What is this? The '90s? They still have to pay GunBroker their percentage for the listing when it sells.

I send a check, they could not send the item. I'm screwed since I can't get my money back.

or...

1) I purchase through "Immediate Checkout" through GunBroker.
2) They send the item.
3) I could be a dick and chargeback to get my money back plus the item for "free".

Which scenario would be more likely to happen?

Someone probably did that already, which is why they want the check. Or probably some older fella that don’t trust the interwebs.

That is chickenshit though.

I prefer the |BUY NOW|-“are you sure you want to purchase?”

Yep

“Ok, you bought it” option

Chargebacks can be disputed though. Money orders can’t.

I've been fortunate to never get ripped off there. I've bought plenty of reloading components. I'll pay a premium to get what I want.

Because in order to take a credit card, you have to eat or charge the customer 3 to 4%.
