All the "no" answers in this thread answer your original question.

no.
They all seem to be initial gut reactions to the thought.
I'm trying to persuade others to think rationally about this idea.
There is valet parking all over the place and it's a great idea for some. Why not at the boat launch?

They used to have the lift at the Bait Nazi's place in Delacroix. Usually had a hell of a line, but it moved ok I guess. 15 people sounds like a lot, you'd have to be making some serious money to employ that many people.

would be pretty cool to have a launch with a double launch for those who wish to do it their selves and a single launch off to the side for valet.
There KR. Better idea?

It's not about thinking rational. I wouldn't let my dad back down MY boat, much less a stranger.

It's just a bad idea.

I'll pass brah, because if something bad happens I want only me to blame, but if someone else does it, I will tear the whole fricking launch apart, just isn't worth it!

Let's think rationally.

First, how does the marina make money from this? They now have 4 to 5 new employees that are supposed to be covered by the proceeds of the launch. These employees need to be there from daybreak to after the sun goes down. These employees need to be covered by some kind of liability insurance for when they inevitably frick up someone's boat.

Second, where are they going to find 4 to 5 trustworthy, competent boat launchers that will work for cheap for 11 to 12 hours per day?

The amount of boats would need to be substantial to cover costs.

And I suspect most old timers and a lot of other people will find somewhere else to launch for $5 instead of $20.

Bruh, you were talking about your blood pressure spiking when you're waiting at the launch. Which resulted in your idea. You follow?

yes but it was just an offhand comment. The point of the thread is how nice it would be for launches to have a valet option. I'm in no way saying it should be mandatory.

It's just not a good business idea.

However, have you made my map yet?

If it's not mandatory, you're going to have the same problem as before. Incompetent people launching their boat and taking forever.

the worst is when the wife or gf has to back up the rig into the water. they back up slower than the spaceshuttle heading to the launching pad.

What fun would that be...?

Memorial day weekend, go out to a public launch and look for the newer rigs, and commence to videoing... Best stuff ever...
