If you haven't seen the ads, it's on A&E amd about law/wildlife enforcement in Terrebone Parish. Something tells me myself, hat, and BigHoss will be future stars

I know some guys who will be on there. Funny shite. It's going to be hilarious.

The only down side is that once again, the world will think South Louisiana's residents are rednecks (no offense) and stupid country folk, which is definitely not the case.

I think the rest of the country is intrigued over Louisiana. The culture is different than the rest of the country.

Makes for good entertainment.

Supposedly most of the "criminals" are actually paid actors

This.

If anyone thinks half of that show is "real", then they are idiots. Most, if not all, of the scenes are scripted...or re-enacted loosely based on past run-ins. Things like that...

I was down at the camp in Cocodrie last summer and was actually approached by these guys while they were filming the pilot episode. They told me and friend that they could use us to be in some of the scenes that they were shooting. Had several phone calls exchanged with them, but in the end it never worked out.

I've got a feeling that the first 1 or 2 episodes will be interesting/funny, but after that it'll be crap just like everything else not named Duck Dynasty

I'm friends with Vern, and yes most of the criminals are not technically "actors." They are mostly locals but they are not really being arrested on the show. Some of the arrests are recreations of actual arrests though.

I was asked to go ride around Lake De Cade in my flat boat and act drunk and belligerent and get arrested. I said no thanks.
