Caught many-o-fish with it and all it needs is a good hosing off after use. I keep well oiled too.

I've got several Shimano Sienna's that I bought for like $25 a pop to take on the boat for other people like my wife to use. They still work as well as the day they were bought. Taking care of you stuff goes a long way. Everything gets rinsed with a light freshwater mist for several minutes, then gets hit with something like Reel Clean to protect it from corrosion.

Man, I've only got to go fishing once since I moved over a year ago. This thread and the fact that it's finally spring time is getting me antsy. I may have to go wet a line in the neighborhood pond soon.

Yea I've only gone once this year and we didn't do so well. I'm itching to get back on the water but my weekend schedule doesn't clear up till April.

But........ I'll be on 4 10's by then and Redfish and I are going to destroy the fish every Friday while our wives are at work

I have shimano, pflueger, okuma and penn. I can't lie. I like them all. The okuma just feels heavy duty though. The pflueger presidential is almost a decade old and still going strong. One thing I don't like about the spin fisher is that it doesn't have that little button in the front.
