public launch in GM has live shrimp now, just incase anyone was wondering. $20 gets about 70 shrimp.

Wore the reds out for a tournament on Saturday in Reggio/Delacroix. Most fish where in the 24-27 inch range with bulls mixed in. You could add 3 bass or trout to your bag and I didn't find any big ones so I finished in 6th. My reds were all 7.5-8 lbs each. Cooked them on the half shell yesterday!!

The bait shops don't get live shrimp until may. Idk why but it's been that way last couple years.

My buddy caught some and not on live bait..

I'm going fish somewhere Wednesday for sure. May go Thursday too but Leeville is a better possibility Wednesday. Just trying to figure out if the fish that have been caught were on live bait or am I good with plastics.

Yes live shrimp ( Fourchon marina has them ) Bright green grub with twisted tail caught bigger trout and keeps you away from hard heads but you need live to get #s. I fish there every weekend and trout are the biggest I've seen since oil spill
