Who told you that nonsense? They don't have riders for gulf/saltwater use, it's covered unless the policy excludes it. Commercial use for OUPV bayboats is 25 nautical miles for 99.9% of carriers. You can take a personal boat as far as you have balls and it's covered. I did get an endorsement to limit the insured range to 50 nautical miles several years ago because the insured insisted.
