This would have been awesome 20 years ago. They disappeared just like the Canada geese we use to get every year.

Capital lake in BR sometimes has thousands.
This year though I have not seen near as many along with dos gris.

City Park and University Lakes used to loaded with dos gris, black jacks, and poule d'eau (and pied-billed grebes and gallinules). I have seen any in years. There were thousands of whistling ducks there yesterday. I've been told they're eating all of the grass seed that's being planted on the new spoil banks.

I know we can all shoot them in public areas.

But who else things this special season is retarded? If invasive, why not have open bag limit on them during regular season (like snow geese) where they don't count towards your limit of ducks?

I can't imagine anyone going to hunt these things during the special season.

Best eating duck there is. Im already stragetizing my plan of attack. I want to kill as many as I can. And im not one to hunt teal season, but I will ABSOLUTELY hunt Whistler season
