Damn. I was in Gulfport the last two weekends.
I'm probably just going to grab a sub 500 dollar yak for my first one. Then move on from it according to my needs.

I emailed you a couple of days ago.

Don't worry about it dude. I'm so tired of dealing with flaky arse people on market place. I'm an OT baller I can afford new. I'm not interested in a used yak. Too much bullshite trying to meet up and all. It's not worth saving 2-300 to me.

The majority of the links on that thread are no longer good.

Just dig through the thread and you'll find a lot of info. I can tell you that the majority of people in South Louisiana now have Hobies, specifically the Outback. The Lafayette club is probably 95%-98% Hobie. The more north you go you'll see a lot of Natives and Jackson's.

I disagree. Was in the parish today. Saw two hobies, two Jackson’s, 3 natives, and 4 ufos. Majority of kayaks down here are off brands. Hobie has the market on named brands down here but across the country not so much

So you disagree that the majority of fishing kayaks in South Louisiana aren't Hobies?

Came here to say this. I think they deal mostly Jackson Kayaks which are hard to find anywhere else. I'd like to pick up a Bite and Bite FD. They also sell "Buggs" which are fun for sight fishing reds

Yes. The majority aren’t the big brands. Guys that fish harder fish the better kayaks. It’s not rocket science. $200 kayaks are common.

Well I'll say this then. Don't go to Point Aux Chenes in a $200 kayak. Unless you fish right by the launch.

I didn't mean him per se. Before posting I had two Facebook market place people fall through. Then I made post. Had another fall through. One that was likely a scam. Plus I like the idea of looking at a lot of them and picking out one I like best. It's not that much savings.

I'm leaning towards a Feel Free Mokken 12.5 v2. I like how it's built out. It's not that much more than a used one.

Sorry to the guy who I emailed.

Native Ultimate fx12 would set you up great. It's easy to paddle, great in rivers and plenty of storage.
