Where to get custom boots made?

I have a tanned gator hide that I would like to get boots made out of . Any recommendations from the OB on who to take it to? Live in South LA. Thx .

What’s your budget? Was just talking to a buddy about this recently that had some made and they are nice but very expensive. Having the hide already will cut the cost a lot though.

I had some quoted a few years ago. If I remember they were about $1800 and it made absolutely no difference if I supplied my own material.

What kind of boots? Russell Mocs might take your hide. If you want Western/Cowboy, there are all kinds of boutique guys that are in the facebook groups that would take your hide.

Probably going to run you a minimum of about $1200 and most likely closer to $1500 for regular leather. Exotic leather will push it to $2000+ depending on boot maker and upper design/complication
