Wanting one of the 2000 generators. Best place to pick one up? Best service to bring back for warranty work/repairs?
Thanks

Are you 100% convinced that you want a Honda or are you willing to look at other brands?

What do you want to power with it?

Get a predator from harbor freight. They work just as good. You’re welcome

^^^ He's not wrong.

There is also the Champion Dual Fuel which is a little nosier, but has the big advantage of being able to run off both gasoline and propane.

Honda brand motor, or Honda brand generator.

You can get the motor on a cheaper generator.

But are they trustworthy for the guys that barely use them? I don’t doubt it for routine use, but I question buying a cheap brand for something that is used a half dozen times a year and needed as a back up for things like a Hurricane?

I have the Predator and paid the extra $100 for two year no questions asked warranty. They actually told me bring it back and swap it for a brand new one in 23 months, normal wear & tear is covered under warranty

Anyway, I've been intentionally abusing the piss out of the Predator and have to admit its phenomenal. Super quite, starts first pull and runs 8+ hours on a tank of gas

Can confirm it will run (independently):

-Skill saw
-deep freezer
-blower
-10k BTU window unit
-Electric Charcoal lighter
-2 full size fridges simultaneously
-electric chainsaw
-5G air compressor

Pretty much tried it on everything. Most importantly it runs 10k BTU ac and deep freezer at same time which are my primary concerns in hurricane

If you haven't used an inverter generator like these before, they shite all over ordinary generators in terms of fuel efficiency and not being obnoxiously loud. Can't hear it running over a box fan

ETA: have owned for 6 months, approx 30 hours of run time.

Bozeman Distributers will most likely have the best price in BR. Call them in the morning and check.

Mayberry Sales. I think they still have free shipping.

LINK

After having owned several of the gas guzzling loud as hell Briggs powered 5000 watt generators I bought two EU2000s from Mayberry. Its a Honda product so warranty work, or repairs are uncommon. Honda EU2000i is what you want, accept no substitute especially if you are going to power electronic equipment, expensive but worth every dollar. I have the 2 EU2000s for 24 hours a day 14 days straight shut off only long enough to refuel, and once for 30 minutes to change the oil, never a single hiccup. Was so impressed I have since bought a EU3000i.

Friendly cant sell honda because boseman is right there by them.

They sell the Yamaha. Not a bad unit. I'd personally get the Costco membership and grab a Subaru from them... Or their yamaha powered inverter.
